Japan earthquake and tsunami

Two more survivors of the devastating earthquake and tsunami double disaster have been rescued today.
It is now nine days since the 9.0 magnitude quake struck off Japan's north-east coast, producing a tsunami and unleashing a nuclear crisis at Fukushima power plant.
But astonishing stories of survival are still emerging, with an 80-year-old woman and a teenage boy rescued from the wreckage of a house the latest story of hope.
The 16-year-old was found on the roof of his house in the city of Ishinomaki calling out for help. He led rescuers inside where they found the elderly woman.
The pair are described as weak but conscious. They were airlifted to a nearby hospital by helicopter.
